NEWS FROM THE 2011 FESTIVAL

‘The Best Ever’, was how the delegates described the 2011 Festival of Writing – this year at Nottingham University. It was seeing all the happy faces that did it for me and the ‘See you next year’, farewells.  Here are some of the photographs that were taken at the event.

  2. Sorry Sam – this isn’t really a blog. I answer and post comments on the site as soon as I am able but sometimes other commitments get in the way. As Chairman and webmaster and general voluntary dogsbody, as all the volunteers on the NAWG committee are, we are at times (like always) overworked. Please try again and I’ll do my best to answer you. Pam Fish, NAWG Chairman.

  4. As Comp Administrator I have this minute finished the final short list of winners and those who were placed in the 2012 NAWG Competitions. The quality of your entries was just wonderful. Yesterday I was at the jolliest committee meeting I’ve ever attended, and I’ve been to a few. I’d just like to say how pleased I am that NAWG is such an extraordinarily friendly and decent organisation. I am deeply honoured and highly delighted to be a member of your committee. I’d like to thank you all for being so nice and for being such accomplished writers.

  9. I echo Barry’s comments and wish I could have been there this year, particularly as the workshops sounded interesting and very productive.

  10. Photos show a great time obviously being had by all; I am envious! Ah well, I hope very much to be there next year.

No doubt the Committee worked damned hard. Much thanks to them, especially to the Editor of the rejuvenated “Link”. I look forward to reading the “NAWG Weekend” edition.

    Best wishes, everyone.

    Barry Adams.
