The Wild Geese Writers
The Wild Geese are a closed group of 23 professional women writers and journalists, predominantly UK based, but with members in France, the US, Canada and South Africa. Here are a few of the Flock at the Royal Horse Guards Hotel for the Sexy Shorts book launch in February 2005. We meet on Yahoo's Group hosting service, and generate around 4000 messages a month, which includes critting each others work, gossiping and general networking. We have been the subject of magazine articles, and have been approached by TV companies. We are keen to build up a reputation as Media Whores, so if you'd like to exploit this, please get in touch!

* Our writers contribute to Real, Practical Parenting, Choice, Girl, Full House, Woman's Weekly, Take a Break, Allas, You, Yours, The Weekly News, Writers' Forum, Best, Chat, It's Fate and many more publications.
* One Australian fiction special contained stories from 8 of our members.
* Several of us are writing novels and have had some great feedback from agents.
* One of us won the 2004 Real Writers prize.
* We have had runners up in the JBWB, NAWG and Writers News short story competitions, and on the short list for the Donard Publishing novel competition.
* Our members have been interviewed for radio, magazines and newspapers.
