The Stortford Scribblers
We are a small writers' group based in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire and this is our second year of existence. We have about 15 members, but usually not all fifteen turn up at every meeting (it's usually 6 - 10 at a meeting). Some of us have had writing published or have won writing competitions. Some of us are complete beginners and some of us have been writing for years
Five of us are writing novels. We have poets, short story writers, playwrights and non-fiction writers - any genre is welcome. We help each other to improve our writing by constructive criticism and giving good feed back. We sometimes have a writing exercise as part of the meeting to encourage us to try writing in another genre. We meet every other Thursday at 8pm, we always start on time, at the Apton Road Day Centre, Bishop's Stortford.
We are a really friendly group, easy to get on with!
