March & Doddington Writers' Circle March & Doddington Writers' Circle was founded in 1986 by two friends with a common interest in writing. Over the years the number of members has fluctuated but we have a loyal core of around a dozen. Several members have had successes which include published books, poetry and stories on radio and in magazines. We were alerted to NAWG by Kessingland Writers when we decided to link up together and judge 'in-house' work on a reciprocal basis. We meet fortnightly either in March or Doddington to listen, criticise, encourage, praise and suggest ways to improve each others work. Occasionally we will have a speaker. We publish a magazine twice a year called 'The Quill'. This year we had a grant of £100 from Fenland Arts towards our next issue and we regularly take our work out into the local community in the form of readings, which are proving very popular.
