Kessingland Writers Meet at Uplands Community Centre, Hollowgrove Way/Ashburnham Way, Carlton Coleville, near Lowestoft, Suffolk. We meet on first, third and fifth Mondays in the month at 2pm. So it should be easy to work out our dates. The group is now ten years old. Our interests are varied, fiction, short stories, articles, poetry, etc. We have two in-house competitions each year. These may be anything, including stage play, radio story, or fiction with a theme. One competition is held in July and the other at Christmas. In 2002 we submitted our first anthology, Mercury's Children, to NAWG. We have workshops and talks by invited speakers. We have some limited success, about four members have been published in magazines. (We also have a novel writers section (about five members).) Our total number fluctuates between ten and fifteen members. At the present, I am the chairman, but we do have a small committee. We have four committee meetings each year.
