Latest News

Here are the latest developments from the NAWGFest team.

  • We'll be going back to the University of Warwick for NAWGFest 2017, so mark your diary now: 1st—4th September.
  • Peter Robinson will be speaking after the Gala Dinner.
  • Note that there is now an optional extra Monday for the festival.
  • There will be an Open Mic event on Friday evening. Your chance to entertain us.
  • Meet the agents. A Q&A session with Hattie Grunewald and Kate Nash.

What is the Festival?

On the weekend after the August Bank Holiday, both NAWG members and like-minded writers with a broad spectrum of abilities, get together for an exceptional weekend, focussed on improving their writing.

It's a memorable weekend, which includes the use of: a fitness suite, a heated swimming pool, and workshops in state of the art classrooms. Meals created by a top chef and excellent en-suite facilities with showers.

It's an open festival, so all are welcome to join us. Don't be shy we are a friendly group.

Festival Dates

The full schedule is given in the brochure, but here are the dates:

  •   Friday 1st September 2017,
  • Saturday 2nd September 2017,
  •   Sunday 3rd September 2017,
  •   Monday 4th September 2017.

Festival Venue

Following the success of previous years, this year's festival will once again be held at the University of Warwick.

Activities

In addition to the main workshops and lectures, there will be a wide variety of additional activities you can take part in. Details are also shown in our brochure.

Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony

One of the highlights of the festival, is the Gala Dinner on Saturday evening. This is followed by an entertaining after-dinner talk and then the Awards Ceremony, where the winners of the 2017 NAWG members' competitions will be announced.

Prices & Payment

Please see our full price list for details on how much it costs and how you can pay.

In summary, there are three ways to pay:

  • Online using PayPal.
  • By posting us a cheque with your booking form.
  • By bank transfer using BACS.
