Margery Allingham Short Story Competition

Win £1000 and influence people by entering the CWA's Margery Allingham short story competition.

As well as the glittering prize, the exciting aspect to the Margery Allingham is that the longlisted entries go in front of judges who comprise literary agents, editors, publishers and successful, published authors. Few writing competitions offer that.

The maximum word count is generous too at 3,500.

The deadline was March 1st 2016.

The CWA has not yet had the high levels of entry we usually associate with this competition so your chances are better than ever…

Why don't you have a look at the web page and consider entering?

The competition is open to anyone, published or not. As long as the story itself hasn't been published in any form, then it's eligible.
