What is the Festival?

On the weekend after the August Bank Holiday, both NAWG members and like-minded writers with a broad spectrum of abilities, get together for an exceptional weekend, focussed on improving their writing.

It will be a memorable weekend, which includes the use of: a fitness suite, a heated swimming pool, and workshops in state of the art classrooms. Meals created by a top chef and excellent en-suite facilities with showers.

It's an open festival, so all are welcome to join us. Don't be shy we are a friendly group.

Festival Dates

The full schedule is given in the brochure, but here are the dates:

Festival Venue

Following the success of previous years, this year's festival will once again be held at the University of Warwick.

Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony

One of the highlights of the festival, is the Gala Dinner on Saturday evening. You can see some photographs from last year's dinner in Pam's write-up. This is followed by the Awards Ceremony, where the winners of the 2016 NAWG members' competitions will be announced.

This year, Professor Gervase Phinn will be entertaining us with an after-dinner talk.
