Plans: Overview

Evolution at Large!

This planning area is under on-going development. It's going to take a while to document everything, so please return frequently to see what we've got in the pipeline.

Some of the planning documents have been formatted as plain text. This is to facilitate their speedy production. They'll be made pretty once the Markdown Engine has been developed.
We have many plans for the future of the NAWG website.
This document is the starting point.

#### Introduction

There's a lot of information about the directions we're heading in with the website and what we're planning to do along the way.

Please read this starting document first, as we hope it will help to orient you. After that, there are several ways to navigate:

  * Go to the end of this page to see the main topics.
Further information can be found by clicking on the links there.

  * List all articles with the tag [plans](/?tag=plans).

#### Terminology

In these and many other documents, particularly the technical ones, we often use the term **users**. But what do we mean by *users*? In most contexts, a user can be any or all of:

  * A casual visitor to the web site.
  * A member of a writing group, or other NAWG affiliate.
  * A NAWG administrator, committee member, or facilitator.
  * A competitor in one or more of our writing competitions.
  * A participant in one or more of our events.
